PINCH
Randy and his brother Jerry formed a band called Pinch. Named after their hometown. Both have now gone onto doing other things.
DAVID GATES AND BREAD
He allowed Guitarist, Randy Flowers Play his amazing instrumental version of ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ while he set up for the piano.
David played acoustic guitar for most of the evening and
was accompanied by the Flowers brothers, Jerry & Randy, who played bass and lead
guitar respectively. They have their own band called 'Pinch' and you can check
them out on their website at www.pinchmusic.com
Also on stage was a 10-piece string section.
A surprise addition to the set was 'Heart, It's All Over' . We were also treated to an instrumental rendition of 'Some Where Over The Rainbow' played on guitar by Randy in a way which included many interesting styles & harmonics
Jerry & Randy came out and were both very gracious. I complimented Jerry on his bass playing and then chatted with Randy. I'd met him before when he was playing lead guitar on the 1997 'Bread' world tour. Dean, as a fellow guitarist, was keen to chat with Randy and he also got a photo taken with him and an autograph.
DAVID GATES AND BREAD: THEY ARE BACK AND JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME
Bread has all of its original members and has added a bass player, Scott Chambers and Randy Flowers on lead guitar and a ten piece string section that made it feel like you were listening to the record, and gave it a lush full sound.
11th May 2002 - David Gates free show
Bassist Scott Chambers and guitar man Randy Flowers of Nashville lent solid support. Gates encouraged Flowers to share his incredible harmonic-sprinkled rendition of "Over The Rainbow". The style was informed by Chet Atkins, but in no way a clone; it was a magical three minutes (scaled down from eleven, joked Gates). Gates was also ably backed by a section of Tulsa string musicians.
Guitar Man promises fresh Bread for Cape
The new guitar-men on tour are Randy Flowers (lead) and Scott Chambers (bass), two renowned session men from Nashville. Backing up the band is a lavish ten-piece string section violins, cellos and violas of local philharmonic musicians
American Supergroup At Good Hope Centre Tomorrow
The group - featuring original song-writing duo David Gates and James Griffin - will perform at the Good Hope Centre, backed by a 10-piece string section and fronted by the Nashville lead guitarist, Randy Flowers.

31st Mar 2003 Bridgewater Hall Manchester - With David Gates
He was on stage with a ten-piece string section and two guys on bass and lead electric guitar. David introduced them as Jerry and Randy Flowers, two brothers who've now formed their own band in Nashville called Pinch.
Manchester online - David Gates @ Bridgewater
But time plays funny tricks on us all. Gates ambled out in
jeans, stetson and glittery waistcoat - looking like the Sheriff of Las Vegas -
and struck up Make It With You to the accompaniment of a fine guitarist, Randy
Flowers, and a ten-piece string section.
8th Apr 2003 Symphony Hall Birmingham
It's time for a brief rest for David's voice now, as he makes guitarist Randy work for his fee with his own, virtuoso instrumental arrangement of "Over The Rainbow" on acoustic guitar : short but intricate, very Joe Pass.
Finally, he introduces the two band members - they are revealed to be Jerry Flowers on bass, and, coincidentally, his brother Randy Flowers on guitars.

MISC QUOTES
Found this on the net. And NO I didn't write it lol. mequote3
You know what would be cool? Richie Sambora and Randy Flowers, in a Guitar Play-Off, with me as the prize." Of course the winning would have nothing to do with playing, more to do with who looked the hottest at the time....
