This was a very last minute gig. Just glad
it wasn't that last minute that I didn't manage to get there lol. The show
was in West Sussex at a beautiful country pub with a nice barn next
to it where they have live bands play. this band have played there
many times before and apparently go down really well every time. I
can see why :-) Too many highlights to list all of them, But the
most outstanding for me has to be 'Bible And A Beer' I love this
song so much, especially live. It really could be a huge hit for
Patti. Next was 'Long Train Runnin' by The Doobie Brothers. Then
Patti did an excellent version of Mustang Sally which led in to
Respect perfectly :-) Then last but not least an amazing version of
Janis Joplin's 'Summertime' It was great to see Patti do
something totally different to what I've seen so far from her. Great
friends, great show, great band and an even greater Patti Russo.
What more can you ask from a night out. I was one of the saddest
people when Patti left Meat, but I can honestly say now with hand on
heart that I'm really glad she isn't with him anymore. She is meant
for much bigger and greater things. She isn't meant to be singing
back up vocals for anyone. I just really wish she'd made the move
yrs ago. She deserves to be a star in her own right. Roll on 'The
Bible And A Beer World Tour 2008!' |
