TENCH'S TAKE ON MEAT LOAF
We got off on the wrong foot when I confronted
Meat Loaf about whether any of our groupies overlap. It was a shame as I
consider him the master of the long song. I remember when I worked in radio you
could put on a Meat Loaf song, go to the toilet, have a coffee, do your tax
return, come back, and he’s still playing.
Meat Loaf and I are in talks to do an album of
duets. We’re currently negotiating over what to call ourselves. I favour
Tenchloaf but, apparently, that’s also the name of a porno video.
It was fantastic to take the interview knife
and fork to Meat Loaf. Naturally I flossed vigorously afterwards.
