On Sat Sept 16th 2005 Meat Loaf was due to play a concert at The Beau Rivage Casino, Biloxi MS. Unfortunately as we all now know Hurricane Katrina hit the USA.

Meat Loaf played a concert to raise money for the victims at Oglethorpe Speedway Park, Pooler, Savannah Georgia on the 16th Sept 2005.

Meat asked his fans to help by buying tickets for the show even if they couldn't go. The money would all be donated to The Red Cross Relief Fund for victims of hurricane Katrina. Also anyone's ticket who couldn't make the show would be given to one of the victims. The crew are also donating their wages to the Relief Fund.

Kasim Sulton raffled The prototype K. Sulton Bass that he's been using on this tour. It is signed by the whole band. Tickets were $2 and all proceeds are also going to the Relief Fund. Meat also raffled a guitar. Kasim did an opening set at this show.

Here's the statement posted on Meat Loaf's official website about the benefit show.
