You have a documentary coming out?
In March. It will be in theaters in March. I know it will be in L.A. and New York. I don't know where else.
What about Meat Loaf will we learn what we don't already know?
I don't know. You're going to have to see it. I know all about it. I can't tell you what you don't know, because I know pretty much everything going on in there.
Was it nerve-wracking playing in front of a crowd this week?
No. I did better in front of the crowds than I did when they roped them off. I need a crowd, give me some people. If I don't have people, I can't play.
What was the inspiration to use Phil Rizzuto in "Paradise By the Dashboard Light?"
Phil. Yeah, Phil was the inspiration for using Phil.
What are some of your memories of Phil?
The fact that when we were doing it. Everything that's written in that came from him in TV and radio. Everything is his words. We just edited it and put it together. But when it came time to do it, the first two or three times, he couldn't do it. Everything was monotone. 'There it is, a line shot up the middle. Look at him go. Boy can he fly.' No Phil, (do it) like a game. 'Oh OK.' (then does it in a monotone again) 'Boy, look at him go. There he is right in the middle.' It was really funny. Obviously he got it, but Todd Rundgren was producing and after a half hour, he was getting frustrated with him, because Todd has no patience whatsoever. None. We're talking zero patience. Nice guy but zero patience.

Another iconic role on film was playing Robert Paulson in Fight Club.
Yeah, that was on (Wednesday) here. I didn't watch it though. I watched Bruce Willis in Die Hard.

Yeah. I watched Bruce. I haven't seen Die Hard for so long I had forgotten about it.

copies, 37 million alone for his debut album "Bat Out of Hell" more than 30
years ago. He also has appeared on stage and played the part of Eddie in "Rocky
Horror Picture Show" and "Fight Club". Last year he was also the subject of the
documentary film "Meat Loaf: In Search of Paradise".
